Just curious, what are the restrictions toward the use of BB guns in this community? I've recently seen my new neighbor's children pointing their bb rifle in the direction of my house while shooting at the "red thing in the backyard", which is the propane tank cover Shocked , while small kids were playing in the adjoining yard about 15 yards away. Just wondering....thanks!

Pursuant to Article X, Section 1.7:

"Weapons. The discharge of any weapon within the property is prohibited. The term "weapon" includes pistols, rifles, firearms of any kind, bows and arrows, slingshots, "BB" guns, pellet guns, and any other weapon of any type, regardless of size."

If you really want to get into the nitty-gritty, then you could also quote Article X, Section 1.3:

"Nuisance............No noxious or offensive activity shall be carried on upon any portion of the property, nor shall anything be done thereon tending to cause embarrassment, discomfort, annoyance, or nuisance to any person using any portion of the property."

Absolutely right. As one who had some close calls as a kid, I know that if a BB hits something hard, like metal or rock, it can bounce anywhere, including straight back at the shooter.

My sister has a scar on her neck from being shot by my brother with a bb gun. Between that and the beatings they gave each other with metal clothes hangers, I am surprised they made it to pueberty!
